Repairing the wand
The wand you receive early on is broken and must be repaired before any spell can be cast. The repair requires Quartz Dust, obtained by processing quartz you dig up while mining.
How spellcasting works after the repair
Spells cost mana rather than energy, so magic runs on its own resource bar. The first practical farm spell is Aquaflux, the magical watering spell — magical crops will only grow when watered with it, which is why the wand repair matters for farm income.
